What to Expect at Atlassian Team '25

Atlassian Team '25 is almost here! Read our blog to learn what The Adaptavist Group anticipates, what you can expect to see, and get a 20% discount on entry.
Start the countdown—the highlight of our events schedule is nearly here. Atlassian Team is more than just another conference; it's a cornerstone of the Atlassian ecosystem. No other gathering is so intensely focused on the Atlassian universe and so essential—Team stands apart. Why? Because it's fundamentally about people. As a globally distributed company, Team allows us to spend time in person with clients, colleagues, fellow marketplace vendors, and the brilliant minds at Atlassian. It's a refreshing focus on the very real human and business pressures we all face.
Team events are a centrepiece in the Atlassian ecosystem due to Atlassian's unique solution approach. Platforms like Jira and Confluence are designed to thrive with marketplace apps, creating a rich ecosystem that offers a bespoke experience rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. This philosophy has created a dedicated and fully engaged community that's fun to spend time with, making the events not just educational but also entertaining. A lot of the true magic I enjoy is often what happens outside the event, with the people in town for it. This Team 'fringe' is where spontaneous connections and insights occur and are as crucial as the conference itself.

The evolution of Team

Naturally, our involvement in Team over the years has grown considerably. The Adaptavist Group has been a staunch supporter of Atlassian events since the beginning, even way back when we were at the first Atlassian Summit. We have a long history of being the largest contingent after Atlassian itself. The Adpatavist Group consists of multiple Platinum Marketplace Vendors and a Platinum Solutions Partner, which has absorbed several others around the world over the years; we have unparalleled reach and scale to assist clients wherever they are. We're keen to efficiently squeeze every minute we can to meet with potential and existing customers and partners, whether that's after an insightful session, at a customer dinner, or even an evening party.
Team is where ideas turn into action. For The Adaptavist Group, it's an invaluable opportunity to spend time and engage directly with folks within Atlassian, sense checking and course correcting to ensure we continue to be at the cutting edge of what's announced—and sometimes, what's still under wraps. For attendees, it's the best space to see Atlassian's technology in action, hear from leading experts, and discover practical solutions to transform the way they work. Whether it's understanding the roadmap, optimising their Atlassian stack with tools like ScriptRunner, or tackling complex organisational challenges, Team provides unparalleled access to the people and insights that make a difference. If you're serious about advancing the way your teams work together, harnessing deep human insight and breakthrough technology, it is the place to be.
Despite the unstoppable technological advancements, the core value of Team remains—that human connection. Personally, I'm most looking forward to reconnecting with colleagues I usually only see on Zoom, engaging with partners, and hearing about the latest developments in our clients' businesses and personal lives. Team serves as an annual touchstone, marking our progress through the Atlassian world. It's a time for work, but also to catch up with others in long-standing customers and the Atlassian community.

Anticipated key themes

These are the three key themes I will anticipate at Team '25.
  1. Cloud migration push: Atlassian's continued drive to migrate companies to the cloud will be a central focus. Expect a heavy focus on Cloud's benefits, how it compares with Data Center, and what new innovations are boosting its value.
  2. Rovo: Atlassian's AI-powered tool, positioned as a digital teammate allows users to automate tasks, locate and organise data, and learn what works best for your company. Team would be a fantastic opportunity for Atlassian to spotlight the powers of Rovo Search, Rovo Chat, and Rovo Agents, and how organisations have harnessed their capabilities.
  3. System of Work: Another cloud benefit, this concept acknowledges that large, complex organisations use multiple software stacks, emphasising the need for a holistic view of their combined systems, rather than disparate ones. I can foresee Atlassian shining a light on how and why customers use their products and how they relate to their people, processes, practices, and tools.

Going to Team '25

I've been to countless events and Team has its own personality unlike any other. If you're considering heading to sun-drenched Anaheim for this year, I recommend you plan ahead. Identify the people you want to meet, the sessions you want to attend, and the conversations you want to have. It sounds clichéd, but Team is genuinely more than a conference; it's a community, a source of inspiration, and a glimpse into the future of collaboration. Whether you're an Atlassian customer or exploring the possibilities, this is the place to be. Engage, share, and discover the art of the possible.
